<The Home> focuses on homes that shows a distinct attitude of the owner on the way he or she views the space rather than just style, size, or structure.

We also categorized the homes with similar characteristics. For example, a person that lives and works from home is found under ‘Home Office’ while someone who chooses to live in a suburban area that prefers freedom over convenience would be categorized as ‘Rural Life’.

Starting with our short interview with Suyong Joh, Magazine B’s editorial team met with numerous creators all over the world to hear their opinion on the meaning and purpose of home and how homes can be so much more than the typical house we experience in our daily lives. 

What does your home mean to you, and what meaning will it take on in the future? We hope <The Home> invites you to consider this question with a fresh perspective.


‘THE HOME ( )’ 제목에서 유추할 있듯 집과 사람에 대한 이야기를 다룬 책입니다. 하지만 안에서 다루는 집은 형태나 규모, 스타일보다 집에 머무는 이가 집이라는 공간을 어떻게 대하고 있는지, 태도가 분명한 집에 주목합니다.

그리고 태도에 따라 비슷한 유형의 집을 묶었습니다. 예를 들어 집에서 주거와 일을 병행하는 사람들은 ‘Home Office’, 불편함을 기꺼이 감수하여 교외에서의 자유로운 삶을 선택한 사람들은 ‘Suburban Life’ 등으로 묶는 식입니다.

조수용 발행인과의 짧은 인터뷰를 시작으로 매거진 <B> 편집부는 국내외의 다양한 크리에이터들을 취재하며 집이라는 존재가 갖는 의미와 목적성에 대한 이야기를 나누고 우리가 흔히 생각하는 보편적인 주거 공간이 얼마나 다양한 모습으로 사용될 있는지를 살펴보았습니다.
